Haunted House

JOIN US IF YOU DARE…Blairs Volunteer Fire Department hosts their Haunted House Friday and Saturday, October 24th and 25th and Thursday and Friday, October 30th and 31st, 7pm - until the last group is scared.  Admission is $10 for adults and 12 and under get in for $7.  Blairs Volunteer Fire & Rescue is located at 7100 US Hwy 29.


Voices from the Past: Historical Halloween

“Voices from the Past: Historical Halloween” returns in a big way with a new director, Norman Summers, and more cemetery tours.   Captivating stories from Danville’s history are told by ghostly voices of community actors as you tour the Sutherlin Mansion and nearby Grove Street Cemetery.  The tours are recommended for ages 8 to 100 with a matinee for the weak at heart.  One hour shows will be on the evenings of October 29, 30, 31, and the afternoon of November 1.  Purchase your tickets now, $10 in advance, at the Danville Museum.  Tickets are $15 at the door, while supplies last.  Call 434.793.5644 for available show times as some are already sold out.  What a ghoulish way to support your museum and learn about local history!  For more information, visit the Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History’s website at www.danvillemuseum.org, join them on Facebook and Twitter, or call 434.793.5644.  Museum memberships are available for everyone including special rates for students, teachers, artists, and extended families.

Trunk or Treat

Kentuck Baptist Church invites all are children to join them for their annual Trunk or Treat, Halloween night from 5:30pm - 7:30pm! This is a fun and safe Halloween stop filled with tons of treats! For more information, contact Allen Mahan.

North Main Baptist is hosting a Trunk or Treat Friday, October 31st from 6:30pm - 8pm.  Sports fans will LOVE their theme this year!


Creepy Candy Crawl

Downtown Danville stores will offer a safe alternative to Trick or Treat Friday, October 31st from 3pm - 5pm. Participating merchants will display a poster in their window, designating them as a candy pick up spot. Children 12 years old and under are invited to stop by participating stores and receive a free treat! Participating merchants will also be offering special discounts and sales on a variety of items. The Creepy Candy Crawl will be fun for families and children.

House of Horror

Scottsburg House of Horror will be open Friday, October 31st and Saturday, November 1st from 7:30pm until the last group is scared....This haunt has been ranked #1 in the state of VA for the past 2 years by www.hauntedhouseratings.com. Judgment Drama Hayride

Shady Creek Farms is hosting "Shadow of Death Judgment Drama" Hayride October 23rd - 31th and November 1st - 6:45pm - 9pm and weekends ending when the last group has gone through. The hayride will take place at Shady Creek Farms, 7117 old US 29, Pelham, NC 27311.  No charges...donations accepted.  For reservations call 336.552.5102.
