Local specialty doll manufacturer My Twinn (www.mytwinn.com) is ramping up for the holiday season and will be hiring 50 plus seasonal associates for first shift positions in contact center, general warehouse, data entry and artistic finishing services. A job fair for interested applicants will be held at The Community Center at Chatham (115 South Boston Main Street) on Thursday, August 30th from 9am - 1pm.
The job fair is being coordinated by the Danville Pittsylvania County Chamber of Commerce, a business organization with approximately 700 members in the Danville/Pittsylvania County region in conjunction with the West Piedmont Workforce Investment Board. The WPWIB funds and monitors the region's five Workforce Career Centers and numerous employment services and training programs for employers, jobseekers and youth.

A job fair for the new McDonald's in Gretna will be held on Thursday, September 6th from 10am - 6pm in the fellowship hall of The First Baptist Church of Gretna (entrance at the corner of Vaden Drive and Coffey Street). McDonald's, which is scheduled to open at the end of October, will be hiring more than 60 employees.
