FREE CONCERT
FRIDAY, the George Washington High School Choral Department will give a FREE concert at 6:30pm in the school auditorium. Lee Anne Sheridan, the Choral Director at G.W. will conduct the Mixed Chorus and Concert Choirs in the performance. The Mixed Chorus will be performing a review from the Disney movie Aladdin. The Concert Choir will perform several popular jazz selections including Tea for Two, and Manhattan Transfer's arrangement of The Boy From New York City. They'll also perform Seasons of Love from rent, as well as the Spiritual, My Soul's Been Anchored.

AFTERNOON OF MUSIC
SATURDAY, enjoy an afternoon of music with Wayne Henderson and the New North Carolina Ramblers. 2 till 5pm, at the Danville Museum of Fine Arts. Wayne is a traditional bluegrass musician who will entertain you with his music and homespun stories. There are a limited number of advanced tickets at $10 on sale at the museum. These ticket holders are guaranteed indoor admittance if weather prohibits holding the event outdoors. Weather permitting, additional tickets will be available the day of the event at $5 each. $5 ticket holders will need to bring their own seating.

SPRING POPS CONCERT
Saturday, the Danville Symphony Spring Pops Concert will be held at G.W. High School Auditorium at 8pm. The orchestra will present some of the best of the big bands, including the music of Glenn Miller, Duke Ellington, Stan Kenton, and Nat King Cole. They'll perform a collection called A Touch of Jazz and much more. ...and the concert is FREE!

BEANS N BREAD
Saturday, join the American Legion Post 447 and the Boy Scout Troop 321 of Prospect Hill as they hold their Pinto Bean & Cornbread Supper. The event will take place at the American Legion Post on Highway 86 at the Orange / Caswell line. 4pm until sold out. Cost: $5 per bowl of pintos, cornbread, cole slaw, potatoes, and tea. Bean toppings available. Also hot dogs for children. Desserts at extra cost.
