I was reading today about some of the things that took place on this day in history, many of my favorite songs became #1 hits!
For Mickey Gilley in 1975 it was his cover of "City Lights."
Mark Chesnutt scored his first #1 with "Brother Jukebox."
My hero George Jones and Tammy Wynette topped the charts in 1977 with "Near You."
Doug Stone took "A Jukebox With a Country Song" to the top in 1992.
Pam Tillis grabs number-one with "Maybe It Was Memphis."
