Yard Sale


Westover Christian Academy is hosting a yard sale on Saturday, May 19th from 6am until.  This yard sale is to raise funds for the volleyball teams at WCA.  They'll have items such as furniture, clothes, toys, books, household goods, gas grills, chain saws, lawn mower, hunting gear, etc.  This will be at the Westover Baptist Church/Westover Christian Academy at 5665 Riverside Drive, Danville.  For more information, call Tammy Bowles at 429.9733.

Free Men's Softball Games


Bring your chairs and blankets and head out to watch Men's Softball under the lights of the Hiram Field at Pelham Community Center on Tuesday and Thursday nights! Games start at 7:30ppm and admission is FREE! Hot dogs, pizza and other refreshments are available all night at the concession stand!  All profits from concessions will go to support the Community Center.  For more information, contact Steve Myers at 336.388.1125.

Open Air Revival


Third Avenue Church is hosting an "Open Air Revival" on Sunday, May 20th at 5pm; Monday, May 21st at 7pm; Tuesday, May 22nd at 7pm and Wednesday, May 23rd at 7pm.  Light supper will be provided with a $5 donation to the Youth Mission Trip.  If you have any questions, please call 792.1824.

Memorial Day Parade/Gretna Music Festival


The Gretna Memorial Day Parade will take place on Saturday, May 26th at 2pm down Main Street in Gretna.  After the parade wraps up, the Gretna Music Festival will kick off - starting at 3pm at Elba Park.  Tickets are $10 for ages 13 and up, $5 for ages 4-12 and 3 and under get in free.  They'll have music from The Johnathan Dillion Band, Pocket Change, Diamondback and The Worx! Plus there'll be delicious food like Tater Bugs BBQ, hamburgers and hot dogs, Funnel Cakes by Pam and more.  The kids will have a blast too - mechanical bull riding, inflatables, face painting and temporary tattoos!

Dry Fork Fire Department is hosting a Fish and Chicken Fry at the station on Saturday, May 26th from 4pm - 7pm.  Plates are $7 each and you can contact Sara for more information at 434.770.0984.

Fish Fry

Bread of Life Banquet


The Bread of Life Banquet will take place at The Institute for Advanced Learning and Research.  This is in partnership with God's Pit Crew and International Missions Outreach Haiti.  Doors open at 6:30pm and the banquet starts at 7pm on Thursday, June 21st.  It'll feature music by national recording artist and recent star of the film Joyful Noise, Karen Peck & New River.  Also, live painting by visual worship artist Brian Keith Daniel.  For more details, go to GodsPitCrew.org or call 434.836.4472.

Theatre Guild of Rockingham County Presents Willy Wonka

LEGO BuildOff

Enchanted Evenings


Concerts are being held the third Thursday of each month from April through August at Ballou Park.
Schedule: April 19th, May 17th, June 21st, July 19th and August 16th.  Admission to attend is absolutely free.  For more information, contact the Ballou Recreation Center at 434.799.5216.

Fridays at the Crossing


The weekend party kicks off Friday nights at the Carrington Pavilion.  Tickets are only $3 per person and available at the gate.  No coolers, please - concessions available on site.  Lawn chairs are permitted, but seating is available at the Carrington.

Children's Festival

Dance Classes



Mondays
are Boogie Mondays!  Learn new dances, make new friends, and get some exercise in the process.  Class meets every Monday night, 7 till 8:30pm.  Cost is $3 for city residents or get a dance card good for six visits for only $15.  To register or for more info, call 799.5216.
