Man oh man how I have missed this! So sorry it's been a few weeks since I have posted! This has been my first chance to be able to post anything since before my surgery.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the kind cards, flowers, e-mails, gifts, food, and countless other forms of love that have been given and shown. Thanks most of all for the prayers!! This whole thing has amazed me at the chain of prayers and love that have been shown! I realized more than ever over the last few weeks how much my listeners a.k.a FRIENDS really do mean to me!
So many questions have been asked to me and I wanted to answer them here on my blog. People have asked what kind of surgery did I have? It was discovered three weeks ago that I had a benign brain tumor. I thank the Lord so much he lead me through the surgery and that they were able to remove the tumor with no trouble. I was so blessed to make it through the surgery with no complications and better than I ever have been. They say my recovery has been amazing and that my six week recovery time will be less because of my great progress which I am so thankful for. My goal Lord willing is to be back on the air next weekend. :)
I'm starting to have my "mic withdrawls" haha. I will be back soon so be ready! I have to make up for lost time so that means playing some gooooddd country music! :D
I was so blessed to be able to go to the Providence Spring Fling and see Sammy Kershaw! So great to see you all and have the hugs and well wishes in person. Let me just say that he is George Jones made over! He took a portion of the show and wrapped it around George and said that he WAS country music and there was nobody who could top him! Then he sang "He Stopped Loving Her Today" which caused the crowd to go so wild they almost came apart! It was a great way to pay tribute to the Possum! We spoke backstage about George and Nancy and we both agreed they were beyond precious people to call friends.
(Great to shake hands with Sammy!)
(They had to shave half my head for the surgery so Aaron and I wore our "akg doo rags" to the show Lol.)
(Speaking of how Sammy paid tribute to the Jones, George and Nancy sent me a basket when I got home from Duke.)
( It took my whole family to help me eat all of that haha.)
Thanks once again for everything and know that I love you all! I will keep you posted on everything over the next week or so as to when my return day will be. For all of the gifts and cards being sent to me, please bare with me and give me time to respond with Thank You cards. I am in the process of getting those together it's just taking me a little time. (Yes the rumor is true guys take forever sometimes haha.) I am in New York until Tuesday so kicking back for a little R&R haha. Seeing as how I have missed a few weeks of being able to post music I figured I would make up for it right now. Hope you enjoy! I've been on the laptop all morning listening to REAL country! Some of my favorite tunes! :)
Love you all and thank you once again for your love, support, and friendship! Talk to you soon! :)
