Bartlett Yancey High School Flood Victim Drives

Bartlett Yancey High School is sponsoring a bottled water and baby wipe drive to send these needed items to the flood and Hurricane victims in Southeastern NC. They will collect these items at their Friday home game vs Cummings, Friday, October 21st. They will also accept donations of these items in the main office during regular hours this week between 7:30 & 4:30. They hope to fill a truck to send these needed items down east. Please help us out by donating cases of water and baby wipes! Let's show the people of Southeastern NC that we care about them as well.

Cancer Victim Benefit

Tim Burnette has been fighting cancer for 15 years. To this day, he uses a feeding tube for nurishment due to his oral cancer battle.  He is currently fighting his fourth cancer recurrence and facing financial difficulities paying for medical attention that will not be covered by his insurance.  Members of the community are hosting a fundraiser for Tim and his family, Saturday, October 22nd from 10am - 3pm at Perfections (5047 Riverside Drive, Danville).  There will be vendors from several companies, including Mary Kay, Premier Designs and more.  If you'd like to be a vendor, please contact Julie Watlington at 434.429.9808.
