Chicken Dinner

The American Legion Auxiliary Dan River Unit 1097 will hold a Chicken Breast with Special Sauce Dinner on March 31th at The American Legion Dan River Post 1097 located at 17 Fairfield Avenue from 5:30 pm- until. The cost of the dinner is $7, eat-in or take-out.. The meal includes chicken breast with special sauce, green beans, potatoes, coleslaw, dessert, beverage and coffee/tea. Proceeds from the dinner will benefit the American Legion Auxiliary programs for our Veterans, children and community. Please call 434.793.7531 if you have questions.

 

Step By Step Location Change

Step by Step has a new location!  Starting on Tuesday, January 31, this peer-to-peer group for educating ourselves about ways to reduce our risk for cancer and live a healthy lifestyle,  will meet at the Danville Mall, in front of Karen’s Hallmark Shop at 9am for a walk and then at 10:30, move to Nature’s Essentials, across from the Mall, to talk, learn and have a healthy snack.  The focus for January, February and March is Cleansing the Mind and Body. Step meets monthly, the last Tuesday, 9am, at the Danville Mall.  It is for men and women and appropriate for all fitness levels.  For more information, call the Cancer Research and Resource Center of Southern Virginia, 434.421.3060.
