Entrance gate located off Park Avenue; Exit ONLY on West Main Street across from Ballou Shopping Center. Gates close 15 minutes prior to end of show nightly.

Danville Historical Society's 44th Annual Holiday Tour

Danville Historical Society's 44th Annual Holiday Tour: Steel Wheels and Rails Tour
Saturday & Sunday, December 10 & 11th, 1pm – 5pm. Tickets: $25

This year’s tour takes us along the old streetcar route, from historic downtown to West Main Street. Four homes (Jefferson Avenue, Green Street, Holbrook Avenue, and West Main Street) will open their doors to visitors. The tour will also include a new apartment in the Dudley Building downtown and one of Danville’s jewels: St. Peter’s Greek Orthodox Church. The city’s three history museums will also be open. At various sites you will be able to enjoy refreshments and music, and at one site a mini-exhibit about the history of Danville’s streetcars. As an added attraction, the Danvillian Gallery on North Union will be open for you to see the exhibit entitled, "1963 Danville Civil Rights Movement: The Protests, the People, the Stories."

Advance tickets may be purchased at the following locations beginning November 21st:
Ginger Bread House, 1199 Memorial Drive, Danville
Karen’s Hallmark, Danville Mall Level 2
Rippes, 659 Main Street, Danville
Vintages by the Dan, 312 Main St., Danville
These locations will accept cash or check only.
Advance tickets may be purchased by credit card through www.danvillehistory.org beginning November 21st.

On tour days tickets will be available only at the three museums:
Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History, 975 Main Street
Langhorne House Museum, 117 Broad Street
Schoolfield Museum and Cultural Center, 917 West Main Street.
