Candy Cane Hunt in Ballou Park

The holiday season is upon us and Danville Parks and Recreation has several activities planned to celebrate the season. New this year is the “Candy Cane Hunt in Ballou Park.” This activity is designed for all school age children and will take place Friday, December 9th, 4-6pm at Shelter #6 (by the ball field) in Ballou Park. The cost is $2 per person and all that participate will take home the candy canes they collect on the hunt and enjoy hot chocolate in the park. Call 434.799.5199 for more information.
 

Pet Photos with Santa

Danville Animal Shelter is hosting Pet Photos with Santa, Saturday, December 10th from 11am - 3pm at the shelter.  Cost is $10 per photo.  They are also hosting an adoption fair that day with reduced fees - $50 for dogs and cats. Proceed benefit the shelter. Call 799.0843 for more details.
