(Danville,VA) – The Kiwanis Club of Danville hosted their annual Citizen of the year banquet last night to honor one deserving recipient.  The criteria for the award is based around ones unselfish contributions towards the welfare of the community along with being a citizen of the Danville Pittsylvania County area.

This year’s recipient is Ms. Androniki Fallis, a graduate of George Washington High School and a long time educator and mentor to students around the area.

Fallis was the President of the Danville Science Center and was a large part of the addition of the digital dome, as well as a board member of the Danville Museum of Fine Arts and History.  She has been the President of the Wednesday club.

Countless hours have been spent at God’s Storehouse along with Danville’s Free Clinic and Ms. Fallis received the Service award and has been a past president of the Community Foundation of the Dan River Region.

Congrats to Ms. Fallis!
