Danville Police add tip line to fight crime

DANVILLE, Va. – The Danville Police Department is introducing a new way for residents to submit tips anonymously through web-based and mobile means.

The tip line is known as CARE, which stands for Community Action Response and Engagement.

Police Chief Scott Booth said citizens may still submit tips through the Crime Stoppers hotline at 434-793-0000, but the web-based and mobile platform allows users to submit tips more easily and to upload images, video, audio, and documents.
