(Danville, Va.)  — A Danville teen charged with two homicides entered guilty pleas in Danville Circuit Court Wednesday.

18-year-old Kurtyus Latrell Hairston was charged with the murders of 21-year-old Patrick Andreus Gunn and 46-year-old Charlie Junior Williams. Both men were found dead of gunshot wounds in their cars last August. Williams’ body was located in the 300 block of Henry Street and Gunn in the 700 block of Paxton Street.

Under a plea deal, Hairston faces a maximum sentence of 50 years for one count of first-degree murder, one count of second-degree murder and two counts of using a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Hairston was initially charged with Gunn’s death, but police soon linked him to the other homicide. Williams was found dead on the front seat of his car on Aug. 16. Gunn was found dead on Paxton Street the following day.

Hairston lived just a few blocks from the site of the second homicide.

He will be sentenced April 22.
