(Reidsville, N.C.) — A customer who was being held at gunpoint during a convenience store robbery in Reidsville had a gun himself and shot two of the three robbers.

The hold-up happened just after 2 a.m. at the Stop and Shop Convenience Store on U.S. 158.

Investigators say two men entered the store and pulled handguns. The pair held the cashier and two customers at gunpoint while they robbed the store.

One of the customers was armed and shot at the two robbers. Rockingham County Sheriff’s investigators believe the suspects were hit by the gunfire. They ran to a car driven by a third individual and left heading east on the highway. Neither the store clerk, nor the customers were harmed.

Investigators have arrested and charged 24-year-old Jordan Thomas of Reidsville with robbery with a dangerous weapon. He was placed in the Rockingham County Detention Center under a $50,000 bond.

Sheriff’s deputies are looking for 29-year-old Willie Lindsey Settle and 21-year-old Jaikayle Marquise Bridges, both of Reidsville. Both should be considered armed and dangerous.
