CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA – One year after a white supremacist rally and counter protests got out of hand and resulted in the death of a woman in Charlottesville, the Rally for Justice was scheduled to take place at the same location Saturday.  In preparation for the event a state of emergency was declared to allow more resources for law enforcement to prevent violence, barricades and metal detectors were put in place at the site.  Protestors didn’t see it that way and moved across the street.  Even the UVA medical center was placed on a temporary lockdown as protestors marched down the street.  For all of the increased tension there were no arrests made and no violent outbreaks according to the City.
