(Pulaski, Va.) — Virginia State Police say they have found a 17-year-old girl who was reported to be in “extreme danger.”

Police say a 17-year-old who willingly left with a 52-year-old man has been found unharmed in the same eastern Tennessee county she went missing from.

Bristol police stopped a vehicle Thursday morning with Richard Tester and the teenager inside. They were both taken into custody without incident.

Both families reported them missing Tuesday, and an Amber Alert was issued Thursday. Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kristen Quon said the two had previously met but declined to comment on specifics on the case.

The two had been spotted at a parking lot in Blountville and a hotel in Marion, Virginia. Quon says it’s unclear why they returned to Bristol.

Tester was charged with aggravated kidnapping because he’s accused of taking the juvenile across state lines. It’s unclear if he has a lawyer.
