(Danville, Va.) — Virginia State Police have issued an Amber Alert for a 7-month-old girl who was abducted Sunday .

7-month-old Emma Grace Kennedy was last seen at the Kwik Stop on Riverside Drive in Danville around 7:55 p.m. Sunday night.

State Police Police believe she was abducted by 52-year-old Carl Ray Kennedy and is in extreme danger. They say he assaulted the baby’s mother at the Kwik Stop and then took off with her.

Police say Kennedy is a registered sex offender in North Carolina, and is armed with a knife. They say he’s out on $250,000 bond for drug distribution charges.

He was last seen driving a gold four-door Suzuki with North Carolina license plate FAA-1873. State Police say they were last seen traveling East on Route 58.

Kennedy was last seen wearing a brown shirt, gray shorts, and white sneakers.

He has numerous tattoos, including a tattoo of a skull with a bandanna over its mouth on his right forearm, a skull tattoo on his left forearm, an eye tattoo on the back of his right hand, a pitbull with “American Bulldog” written under it on his upper right arm, and a wizard on his upper left arm.

Emma Grace is white, 2’2″ tall, has blue eyes, blond hair, and was last seen wearing a blue onesie.
