Did you grow up dumping peanuts in your cold Coke? It’s a Southern thang…and when I was younger, my dad introduced me to this drink/snack combo. He was a baseball player and a Tobacco farmer and this was a common treat. He told me that when he was working in the fields or playing ball…his hands were dirty and he didn’t want to contaminate his snack, so that’s why he’d dump the peanuts in the Coke.
