(Halifax County, Va.) – Halifax County investigators are looking for a hooded gunman who robbed a Natalie convenience store Monday night.

The robber entered the Country Express convenience market on the L.P. Bailey Memorial Highway around 9 p.m., produced a small handgun and demanded money from the register. He fled after getting an undisclosed amount of cash.

Sheriff’s deputies responded along with Virginia State Police.

The cashier described the gunman as a black male, 17-24 years old, 5’3”, and approximately 125 pounds. He was wearing jeans, a black hooded sweatshirt or jacket, black shoes and had a black ski mask with one eyehole over his face.
