Martinsville Speedway President Clay Campbell said he wanted to make the community really feel a part of the annual event.

“The Toy Drive has always been something that has been for the people of Martinsville and Henry County, by the people of Martinsville and Henry County and this year we really wanted to take that involvement to the next level,” Campbell said. “I’m hoping that this will get people to come out and stay a while and really get into the Christmas spirit, while helping those around us in need.

“The community has been so supportive of our toy drive through the years and we want to take this event up a notch. Adding the decorating contest makes it an event for the whole family to enjoy.”

The first 40 teams to enter the decorating contest will be guaranteed a pit box. Each box will be supplied with a pair of 20-amp plugs. Any additional electrical requirements must be fulfilled by the contestants.
